Alfred C. Alais: Original Copperplate Engraving, Published by Henry Graves & Co., 1879, London. Painted by Sir Frances Grant and signed "Rultand--1879." Matted at 22" x 29 3/4" and laid on cardboard. - $450

 

Alkin: "The Death" and "Unkenneling" Pair of Hand-Colored Etchings, dated 1841. "The Death" is very lightly toned with some minor foxing but clean overall. "Unkenneling" also has light toning and foxing as well as a circular stain on the back of the etching which shows through faintly in the sky area. Both sheets measure 12 1/4" x 16" and both plates are 9" x 12." Sold as a pair. - $250

"Battery Halt, 7th Regiment of Field Artillery (Westphalian)." "Cavalry" measures 15 3/4" x 11 5/8," and is in very good condition. "Battery" measures 15 7/8" x 11 1/4," and has a 7/8" repaired tear in the upper left-hand margin. - $110 for the pair.

"Piece" measures 15 3/4" x 11 1/4," and has a 1 1/2" repaired tear in the lower left-hand margin. "Artillery" measures 16 1/2" x 11 3/4," and is in very good condition. - $110 for the pair.

 

L. Aubrun: "Agricultural Hall Centennial International Exhibition, 1876, Fairmount Park, Philadelphia" Original Lithograph. Published by Thomas Hunter, Philadelphia. Copyrighted 1874 by the Centennial Board of Finance. The litho is toned from the matting and has a water stain in the upper field which enters into the image sky. The sheet measures 20 1/2" x 27" and the image area is 16 1/2" x 21 1/8." - $250
