Asher B. Durand after Thomas Sully: "John Quincy Adams, President of the United States" Engraving after painting by B. Rogers of Philadelphia. Published October 6, 1826 by W. H. Morgan of Philadelphia. A fine scarce early engraving with full margins remaining, with some chipping and tearing in the margins which extend to within 1/2" of the plate mark. The flaws have been stabilized with archival filmoplast repairs. The engraving is toned overall with some minor foxing and soiling. Full sheet measures 27 1/4" x 20 1/4;" plate mark is 23 5/8" x 15 1/2." - $500
