Bold Mezzotint engraved portrait with a few wrinkles in the central top portion, probably caused from having been rolled. The plate mark was impressed strongly into the paper, causing some splitting along the plate-mark; there are also some old tape repairs along these splits. Sheet measures 22" x 16 1/2." - $225

 

Charles Forget: "Friterie" Original Pencil-Signed Engraving, ca. 1920. #17 of 200; evenly toned overall. Matting measures 15 1/4" x 13," sheet is 12 7/8" x 10," plate is 8 3/4" x 6 1/2." - $100

 

James Baillie Fraser (after): "Assemblage of Hillmen" Original Colored Aquatint Engraving from Views In The Himala Mountains. Plate XII, Engraved by R. Havell & Son. Published by Rodwell & Martin, Bond Street (London), March 1, 1820. Laid down on cardboard; a very attractive and clean image with some light soiling. There is also light window toning along the right side and 1/2" below the print line border. On the right edge there is a 1 1/4" tear which just reaches the plate mark, and at the upper left-hand corner there is a diagonal fold 1 1/4." Sheet is 20" x 28;" Image is 18" x 23 1/2." - $1500

 

James Baillie Fraser (after): "The Village Jushul" Original Colored Aquatint Engraving from Views In The Himala Mountains. Plate XVIII, Engraved by R. Havell & Son. Published by Rodwell & Martin, Bond Street (London), March 1, 1820. Laid down on cardboard; a very attractive and clean image with some light soiling. There is also light window toning along the top of the image 1/2" within the border and along the bottom  1/2" outside the border line. There is some slight puckering along the top edge and a light stain 3/4" x 1/2" between the plate mark and left border line. A 3/4" diagonal loss is at the bottom left corner. Sheet is 20 1/2" x 26 3/4;" Image is 18" x 23 1/2." - $1500
