Plate 1 - "Ipswitch" Plate 2 - "The Large Field..." Plate 3 - "The Last Field" Plate 4 - "Nacton Church and Village." All plates are uniformly toned from backer sheet and/or from light exposure. The colors remain bright. The prints depict what may or may not have actually occurred in December of 1803 as a group of young officers betting on their horse's merits rode this race. Quite fun! Plate marks are 14 1/4" x 16 5/8;" Sheets are 20" x 22 3/4." Sold as a group of four. - $875

Edward Lamson Henry: Original Hand-Colored Photogravure of the Camden and Amboy Railroad at the Camden Station, after the 1904 oil painting by Lamson. The C & A Railroad was charted in 1834 and was one of the earliest railroads in America. Depicted here is the Planet engine and its cars awaiting departure from the river while the steamboat William Penn sits docked in the background. Print is laid on board and is lightly toned. Print measures 15" x 32;" matting is 21" x 38." - $800

The sheet is toned overall with a faint brown stain in the sky area and some scratching in the upper right-hand corner. There are small tears confined to the far margins of the page. The full sheet measures 19" x 27," and the matting measures 24 1/4" x 31 1/4." - $350
