"Improvisations" Artists Equity Fund, Inc. Presents Spring Fantasia Masquerade Ball, May 15, 1953, Hotel Astor. Limited Edition, 389 of 2000 copies. Color card covers bound by plastic comb-punched spine housing 66 original lithograph plates of full-page advertisements, each plate designed by many recognizable artists of the day: Milton Avery, Chaim Gross, Reginald Marsh and others each working directly onto lithograph plates creating original lithographs. Covers soiled, rubbed, bumped. Interior plates are fun and in nice condition. Interesting, rare item. 12" tall x 9 3/4" x 3/4" thick. - $500

 

Jazet: "La Chasse" and "Le Depart" Pair of Aquatint Etchings on Laid Paper, after Carle Vernet, ca. 1810. Toned, foxed and trimmed to the plate marks. "La Chasse" has three small margin tears which have been stabilized with archival filmoplast repairs. Sheets measure 8 3/4" x 10 5/8" and 8 7/8" x 10 3/4." Sold as a pair. - $150
