For sale is an original James Abbot McNeill Whistler (1834-1903) etching and drypoint titled “The Two Ships” on laid ivory paper circa 1875. Whistler’s butterfly sign in the plate, lower left. Fifth and final state. Kennedy 148.

Overall in good condition. Minor toning, minor window toning. Small pencil writing in the margin identifying the piece.
